I'm afraid to say it, but it is highly likely that Mayuri will be defeated by Pernida unless someone shows up to save one piece online 2. Props to Mayuri for being so athletic. As far as the fight between Pernida and Mayuri goes, it is almost set in stone that Mayuri cannot defeat Pernida. With only one arm and no other methods of attack left, there is really nothing Mayuri can do to counter Pernida's next strike.

 It is quite confusing as to why the left arm would side with Yhwach, to which even Mayuri himself questions. Chapter 641 will likely continue off with more back story about Nemu's creation and Mayuri's past history with his previous creations. Mayuri quickly jumps away from the acid, all while also avoiding an arrow shot directly towards him from Pernida. As a sort of mockery, Pernida mimics Mayuri's laughter as he explains that it is a Quincy, able to form and use spiritual bow and arrows.

Angered by Mayuri's taunts, Pernida can no longer hold back its rage as it tears open the hood of its cloak, revealing itself to be none other than the left arm of the Soul King. Realizing Mayuri is more happy than frightened by its attacks, Pernida appears to be preparing to unleash an even bigger attack to wipe the smile off of Mayuri's face.
